On my Christmas Journey, I Spied with my little eye...

...A cute little Bubby sittin' on Santa's lap... (a.k.a Grandpa Claus) :-D ......AND...

"...I saw mommy kissin' Santa Claus!!..."

...AND...
my Daddy Bear also sent me an email with a Special attachment in it...
Although we were States apart, separated by time and divided by miles,
we were able to spend time with my family (via Web Cam) and we were able to get a family picture...that has ALL of us in it!!! :-D

No distance can keep us apart!-Christmas Together..

I'll get another post on here about Christmas in Georgia, but here's a glimpse of Christmas this year...Christmas morning I called to tell my family Merry Christmas and we signed on to our computers and used our Web cams to "hangout"...We even managed to pull off a Family Picture...This time we are ALL in it!!!...no editing...(note: Daniel & I are on the Computer screen via web cam) ;-) I LOVE FAMILY!!!...and I LOVE PICTURES!!!
...what a Gr8 combination don't ya think?!?!?!?!...Families can be together forever...Ours is!!

A fun evening at Krista's...

Daniel & I went over to Krista's last night (Dec 22nd) to say hi and drop somethin' off. While we were there Daniel played with the kids...The girls had "tickle wars" with him while the boys shot him with their nerf guns, then they played bowling on the Wii. While they were playin', I visited with Krista and played with 'Bella (Krista's youngest). We had a good time!! :-)

Christmas Parties 'n' fun Suprises

On the 12th we went to the Ward Christmas party where we had a lot of good food, watched a slideshow that one of the Sister's put together of people's Christmas' Past, visited with Friends and had an all around good time!...Evan caught the Missionaries talkin' to Santa!!... On the 13th I got to go to Heidi's Christmas party...We had a blast...Visited, Played "Blizzard"...at which Cassie, Timille & I won...heehee, we actually sorta cheated by purposely missing our questions so that the other team-Janice, Krista, Patti & Angie-would end up getting "the Blizzard" that wiped out their "City!" heehee It was tons of Fun!!

On the 14th I called to wish Sheila a Happy Birthday and had a fun visit with her and Bubby!!

The 16th was also a fun day because I had the opportunity to go with Krista to Savannah's Christmas Program at the School...Krista let me "play" with her camera-taking still photo's while she recorded it...It was a cute program and Savannah sang her cute little heart out!!~Thanks again Savannah & Krista for inviting me!!

The 18th was our Ward Relief Society Christmas Party and Daniel dropped me off at Krista's so that I could ride with her to the different places that we'd be going to. The first place that we all met at was one of the Sister's house who was in the R.S. Presidency, there we had some appetizers (I made Deviled Eggs) and we all vistited for a bit before we headed to the 2nd house. At the 2nd house, we had the Main dish and visited some more until they were ready to read The Christmas Story in Luke. After we listened to the Christmas story, we all went to the last house were we played a game to see what white elephant gift we'd end up with, then we had treats and went home. This is the cute book bag that I got!!...Sister Marybeth made it!!Dec. 21st-They had the Christmas program at church...it was beautiful! Daniel & I substituted in primary and taught the Valiant 9 class, then we (Daniel & I) went to our separate classes...Relief Society was nice, as usual, and after the lesson we visited while we had some Christmas treats...I had fun visiting with Krista, Roxanne and "little Lacey's mom,"-(sorry, name slipped my mind) but I will however, always remember that she's Lacey's mom! lol! Daniel and I stopped by Ms. Queen's to check on her and had the opportunity to meet another sweet lady who was already there with Queen...They are both very sweet ladies!! Lol, the lady that we met asked if we were "Newlywedds," to which we both replied that we were...and added "yesterday was our 3 month anniversary!" :-) ...She then said, "I could tell, I can feel the love!!" :-) 2 cute!-we had a fun visit!!

Later in the evening, Krista called to see if we'd be home in the next ten minutes or so...I told her that we would be...then she said, "Great! Well then, you have two options, you can either meet us in the lobby or invite us up to your apartment, it's up to you, no pressure. ;-) But just to warn ya there's alot of us!..."

lol, "well I planned on invitin' ya up," I replied. (She then told me that we had to act surprised so I promised that we would and we hung up).

...And, We were surprised!!...We had a very fun group of family/friends that showed up!! Krista and her kids with Angie and her family!!...When we got to the apartment, they sang Christmas carols to us and left us with some yummy "no-bake" cookies...Daniel saved me 2! lol...but they were gr8!!-the cookies, music and company were ALL very Sweet and Special!! ~Thank you Krista, Angie and Crew!!! Ya'll are Gr8!!!!

Three Month Anniversary :-)

For our 3 month anniversary we went to the park and took pictures...it was actually cold today, I wore my toe socks with my Flippers and my jacket!!...heehee...not cold enough to make me wear my shoes!!)

These are just a couple of the Ducks...This time they didn't follow us around!!...

After the Park, we did a couple errands then stopped at the "2 Corners..." (The corner of Utah and Colorado!!!) Heehee...see I'm still at home!! :-D

Ps. That's my new Jacket!!...Daniel got it for me the day before Thanksgiving!...It's pretty Sweet!!

Before coming home, we went to Golden Correll for lunch, then came back and watched "The Forbidden Kingdom."

A Snowy Journey with Calvin and Hobbes

Calvin and Hobbes are great!! I especially liked this one, it reminds me of back home and "the good ol' days" of playing in the snow...although I really don't care much for the cold, but if we got snow to make up for the cold, I loved it! ...It makes the world look clean and beautiful!!...and the sunrises & sunsets reflected across the snowy Mtns are definately breath taking!!! ;-)
Snow ball wars, building snow forts, Dad plowin' a road to the barn...making a huge snow pile to sled down, gettin' pulled around the field on sleds, a car hood and inner tubes, playin' "ultimate sledding" (get pulled behind a vehicle on a snowy road with sleds, etc while try to be the last one left on the sled by pushing others off!)
Yep, you guessed it!...I'm crazy when it comes to FUN!! ;-) heehee
Back home they just got about a foot of snow and it got down to around 20 degrees or so...and Here, it hasn't really "snowed"...However, it rains a couple times a week, and the temperature is usually around upper 40's-mid 60's...and yes, I enjoy it!! :-) ...I even ran through some puddles barefoot the other day...I can still wear my Flippers!! :-) (I had to retire my flip flops, but got a pair of slipper/flip flops) and can usually go without a jacket!!
I absolutely Love it Here!!!

Layers of socks and thick Snow boots to flip flops or even our bare feet!!
OH! But for us, this is such a treat!!

OH! How I’d love to come back Here again and again!!

Though, Daniel on the other hand, may seem hard to convince…
That if his Station Here, should remain, it would be a dream!

Dec.10th, 2008

Wednesday the 10th-
At the R.S. Crafts Night, I had the opportunit to visit with Krista, Angie, Erica (Angie's Daughter) and Krista's girls...It was great!! ...We had many good laughs as well! ;-) ...

Angie was talking to Savannah (Krista's 6 yr old) & I when she said, "I know why your mom had all you kids, ...so that she'd have more help around the house! ;-)"
After that comment, Savannah turned to me and (in a questioning tone) said, "Miss Lacey, since you don't have any kids, does that mean that you have to clean the whole house by yourself?..."
"Yep, sometimes..." I replied. (Daniel sometimes joins in the fun)
To which Angie said, "...She should have some kids, don't you think?!?..."
"Yeah...you should," came Savannah's response as she turned to me and put her arm around me. :-) It was cute!

Lol...right after that conversation, Savannah said that she was going to ask her mom, "..."(something in referance to the buttons...) but Angie and I, with minds still on the last conversation, misunderstood her and had to ask what she said...then we both busted a gut laughin' because we thought that she had said something along the lines of askin' her mom "how to make babies so that I could get some..." just then Krista came back in the room so we explained it to her and we all had a good laugh!! :-D

Journey of Friendship

One of the many things that I've learned in this Journey of Life is that it is truely and surely a blessing to have good friends...And I definately have good friends!

I have Friends that shared tears with me through the years...

who have lent an ear and shared a smile full of good cheer!

Friends that have exchanged a good laugh or two with me...

into all hours of the morning and into the night...

Friends that have come to my rescue in so many ways...

ways that to the outside world seem invisible and unknown...

ways that are simple yet they've left a huge impact on my life...

ways that words cannot explain and emotions can only know...

Thank you to all my friends and family for all that you've done for me!

Journey of the 7 Second Cowbubby

We all know that a cowboy isn't a cowboy without his hat

and this little Cowbubby isn't about to loose his!!

...Even if it costs him less time on the rockin' horse!

Hometown Honeymoon Sept. 21st-30th, 2008

Sunday, Sept. 21st, we got up early and walked to the Tower out by the College in Blanding where we watched our First Sunrise together then read some of our favorite Scriptures to each other and explained why we picked them. Then we went back home (we have a little home in Blanding) and took a nap, went to Sacrement Meeting then back home to watch a movie. That evening/early afternoon, we drove to the Top of the Mountain to watch the sunset...It was very beautiful!! Mon. Sept. 22nd, On our way to Patio (there in Blanding) we stopped at the Fountain by the Visitors Center for a picture because the night before as we were coming home off the mountian, a song came on the radio called, "Hometown Honeymoon," by Alabama and in it, it says, "...we can't afford Niagra Falls, but there's a fountain by the old Town Hall..."

...Well, the Vistors Center isn't exactly Town Hall, but we decided that the song was definately fitting and is one of "our songs..." Once we got to Patio, we ordered lunch to go then stopped at "The Old Rock Bank" and had lunch by it...

Tues. Sept. 23rd, we drove to Moab, stopped at Wilson's Arch to hike around then went on to Moab...When we got there, we went Bowling then had dinner at Hogi Yogi before we went to a Mona Vie/TEAM meeting where I introduced Daniel to some of my friends...It was FUN!! :-)

Wed. 24th-We stayed at the cabin, Daniel made dinner-Stuffed Bells in the fire-They were REALLY good!! *Note: If you ever try Stuffed Bells in the fire, The Orange ones have the best flavor ;-) ...and 9 minutes in the coals= just right!

Thurs. 25th-We went 4wheeling on a trail called "Camp Jackson," up on Blue Mountain...since Daniel had never been 4wheeling before, I figured we'd "break him in!";-)

...This trail takes you to The Tunnel-which for those who don't know what Tunnel I'm talkin' about, it's a tunnel that goes through the mountain bringing water from Monticello to Blanding...it's part of my heritage. :-)

Friday the 26th-We stayed at the Cabin again...I guess you could say that Battleship is "Our Theme Game..." We played it twice that night, (we even played it over the phone in March just before he went into Basic Training!)...I beat him...Two 'n' 0! :-)

Sat. 27th- Our last night at the cabin, I made Hobbo Dinners...Daniel had never even heard of them!...He likes them now! :-) Here's my "dinner's done" pose...

Sunday the 28th- we went to church in Bluff with my family before we headed out-

and on the way to Grand Junction we stopped at the cabin to drop off a few things and saw a cute little chipmunk on the way...

Who says you can't have a little fun along the way??

LOL, this was our "fun along the way..." 68 miles from Grand Junction...

We enjoyed a beautiful sunset while Daniel changed the tire...

We stayed in the top right room (just under the "el" in Hotel) here at the Grand Vista Hotel!...It is a really nice place!...Since I won the Grand Prize at an Employee work retreat, we won a night in Grand Junction...which included: Dinner at Famous Daves, Breakfast and a night's stay at the Hotel!! It was Gr8!!

Since the Manti LDS Temple has always been one of my favorite Temples (it's where my family was Sealed together for Time and Eternity when I was 4 yrs old..) We stopped and got pictures...

We stopped in Orem to say "hi" to my Cousin Ruthie & Aunt Lu...

Sept. 30th, 8:30 am-"Goodbye" at the SLC Airport

After dropping Daniel off at the Airport, I spent a couple more days with my friend Michelle before heading back to Blanding...Daniel found an apartment a few weeks later and I moved out here (to Virginia), I arrived on the 23rd of October...two days after our 3 week anniversary of not seeing each other and three days after our 1 Month Anniversary...heehee AND four days earlier than he expected!! Yes, we missed each other-that's a given-but don't feel bad/sad for us, because no mater how long we are appart, for whatever reason, the time we have together will ALWAYS be longer!! ;-) ...That's part of the blessing of being together forever!;-)
